So you’re up to no good and need to see the comments people have posted on someones profile but you can’t because they’ve hidden them? No problem! Due to Myspace’s flaws and poor customization options you CAN see any of your friends comments regardless of weather or not they’re visible.

Note: This does not work if a users profile is set to private AND you’re not on their friends list.

Let’s say you want to view Tom’s profile comments. There are two things you need to do.

Step 1) Get their friend ID number.

First, go to Tom’s profile (the person whose comments you’re trying to view).

If the person has a custom URL like www.myspace.com/tom you will need to actually click on a link to their profile by going to your friends list, locating their picture, and clicking on that link. The URL should look sort of like this:

Look at the URL closely and find the part that says “friendid=_____” and then copy the number after that. For example, the red part of this URL is what we would copy for Tom’s comments:

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=6221

If the URL looks like the one below make sure you copy ONLY the numbers and not the stuff after it:

http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=6221&MyToken=df46f13b

Step 2) View their comments

Next, go to your own profile and click on “View/Edit All“ (see right image). You should be on the page where you can see all of your comments and nothing else (no custom themes or formatting). Now look at the URL of this page…

Find the part of the url that says “friendid=_____”

highlight the number and paste your friends number over it. In other words, in the sample above we’re replacing the number 2114508 with Tom’s number, 6221. Now press “Enter” or the “go” button and you’re browser should reload the page with your friends comments!

Congratulations, you’ve just hacked in to your friends profile to see their comments even though they tried to hide them from you! If you have any questions or problems leave a comment on this page and I’ll try to answer them.

Note: You can also use this strategy to view all your friends friends if they’ve hidden that as well — just go to your own “view friends” page and paste their friend ID in the URL in place of your own and voila!
